Phoenix Teknologies is a platform company designed to help anyone who needs transportation to get where they need to go.  Your ride will be matched with a fully vetted, experienced and kind driver. 

 


We recommend 100 miles but there is no rule on how far Phoenix Teknologies' drivers will go.


If you have a complaint or any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Your complaint or questions will be answered within 24 hours.

All Phoenix Teknologies Drivers are required by law to accommodate service animals. In the notes located within the app, please advised that you have a service animal so that the driver is prepared. 


A Driver may ask two questions to verify that a Passenger's animal is a service animal:

  • Is the animal required because of a disability?
  • What work or task has the animal been trained to perform?


  

Per our Terms of Use, if your Passenger damages a Driver’s car, Ride Organizers will be responsible for the cleaning fee. A spot clean fee is $50 and a full detailing is $100. After the Phoenix-Teknologies Support team has reviewed the damage and approved the cleaning charge, you will be notified via email of the damage including at least one image of the damage and the amount you will be charged. 


Failure to pay cleaning fees could lead to your Phoenix Teknologies account being closed.


  

Drivers are not permitted to drive to any locations other than the predetermined destination. We recommend you advise your Passenger to visit the restroom before meeting their Driver.


In the case of an accident, Drivers are instructed to pull to the side of the road and call the authorities, emergency responders (as necessary).


All vehicles used for Phoenix Teknologies are inspected regularly by a licensed mechanic who certifies the vehicle has passed a 19-point inspection. Drivers are only permitted to drive the vehicle that passed inspection.


The 19-point vehicle inspection is an industry-standard mechanics use to evaluate a car’s safety and operability. It covers everything from fluids to the suspension system. To be used by a Driver, vehicles must be certified by a professional mechanic and be no more than 10 years old.


  

Phoenix Teknologies partners with Zendrive to include software inside our mobile app which can detect phone usage. Phoenix Teknologies has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to texting or talking on the phone while driving.


  

Phoenix Teknologies’s ride fares consist of a Base Fare, Local Operating Costs, Booking Fee, Peak Hour Fee (when applicable), and a Wait Fee (when applicable). Canceled rides may be subject to a cancellation fee. 

All pricing estimates and fares are based on historical traffic conditions in the area of the ride. 


Base Fares: Base fares will vary by location. To better serve our users, we have made our fares specific to the area in which the rides take place and to the demand in those locations. The Base Fare is calculated by combining the estimated miles and minutes at the time of the ride’s booking and the number of families participating in the ride. If more than one family participates in the ride, the cost per family is significantly reduced. A maximum of 4 families (with a maximum of 4 Passengers) can participate in a single ride. The total cost savings per family could be as high as 60%. For short rides, minimum fares may apply. 


Local Operating Costs: Some states require additional fees or taxes. This will be included in the displayed fare in the app.


Peak Hour Fee: There is also an additional cost, that varies by location, for scheduling rides that start during our peak hours: 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Peak Hour Fee is a flat fare that is added to the total cost of the ride, and it will be included in the original total fare provided when scheduling a ride. 


Booking Fee: The Booking Fee applies to every ride and helps to cover Phoenix Teknologies’s operational costs.


Wait Fee: If the Family Support Driver has arrived at the pickup location early or on-time and the ride’s pickup is delayed 10 minutes or more, a wait fee of $15 will be charged once. 


Cancellation Fee: Rides schedule on the Phoenix Teknologies platform may trigger cancellation fees. Rides canceled between 30 minutes-1 hour of the scheduled pick-up time are charged 50% of the ride fare, and rides canceled within 1.5-2 hours of the pick-up time are charged at full fare.


  

NO Contact Policy: It is expected that all Users of the Phoenix Teknologies Platform recognize the sensitive nature in working with children and individuals in general. To ensure the safety of all Users, and consistent with the Terms and Use and Privacy Policy, both Passengers and Drivers should refrain from contacting each other outside the ride without the prior express consent from the Passenger’s parent/guardian or the Passenger Organizer. There will also be NO physical contact in assisting individuals in and out of the vehicles.


Gifts and Communication: To protect the safety of all Users of the Platform, and in light of the Passengers who use the Phoenix Teknologies Platform, Drivers are asked to refrain from giving gifts to Passengers and maintaining only age-appropriate communication while performing the Services. With the exception of optional gratuities, the same is requested of Passengers.


No-Smoking Policy:  Because there may be Users with respiratory issues or who are bothered by the smell, Phoenix Teknologies asks that no User of the platform smoke during a ride or in the Driver’s vehicle.  Drivers should also be mindful of tobacco-free requirements around schools and other public or private locations. 


Weapons Policy: For the safety of all Users, Phoenix Teknologies enforces a strict no-weapons policy during rides and on any Phoenix Teknologies property.  Neither Drivers nor Passengers are permitted to carry a weapon during a Phoenix Teknologies ride, whether legally permitted to do so or not.  


This no-weapons policy is to ensure the safety and comfortability of all Users of the Phoenix Teknologies platform. 


At a minimum, a "weapon" includes any form of firearm. “Weapons” may also include items such as handguns, stun guns, explosives, knives, sling shots and tasers. Phoenix Teknologies reserves sole judgment on what else may constitute a "weapon." If you have any questions about whether various items could be considered a "weapon" under this policy, please contact Phoenix Teknologies Support before bringing any questionable items onto a ride or Phoenix Teknologies property.


Note: The general policy above does not apply to authorized security personnel contracted or employed by Phoenix Teknologies or to law enforcement personnel.


These safety policies are designed with the interest of both the Drivers and Passengers in mind. Drivers or Passengers who violate these policies, or other Zero Tolerance Policy may be deactivated.
